I bought a 25 liter geyser from Punjab Electricals and H/W, Tilak Nagar, Delhi on 19 December 2010. It was such a sub standard product that its water tank began leaking before end of the first year. I had to make enormous number of calls to their after sale staff and after spending hefty amount of time and communication cost, I got the tank replaced. We found that the water tank began leaking ONCE AGAIN in October 2013, I approached Punjab Electricals for getting the geyser repaired under the 5 year tank warranty terms. He reconfirmed to me that the tank was covered by a 5 warranty against damage / leakage. He directed me to Ralaxo staff Mr. Rajkumar (phone number 9818296637) who was non-responsive and rather tried to cut an underhand deal with me by telling me to pay INR1,300 in form of some adjustment) to do the replacement. I approached another senior person whose number 9313494837 was provided to me by Punjab electricals who confirmed that the geyser was under a five year warranty for the tank and routed me to another person, Mr. Rajan. To my surprise, Mr. Rajan, told me that the tank had 3 years warranty (not 5) but when he came to know that I had called Mr. Rajkumar, he denied the warranty period. Later when I reached out to the seller who looked threatened about the warranty clause and said, “I am unable to help you since you had spoken to three guys from the company and knowing that fact the managing director has refused to accept the warranty terms”. Aggrieved, I reached out to the Managing Director’s mail ID and sent him a detailed mail explaining him about my agony. But unfortunately he seemed threatening and unaffected by what all happened. You would be shocked to see his response, that made me feel ashamed, dejected, exploited, cheated and harassed. he responded back “Leave it”. I am in a stigma since them, that a consumer has no value for a manufacturer of sub standard product. The consumers are being deceived for their innocence.
