Note: BRAND NAME I HAVE SELECTED “JANAPRIYA” ONLY BECAUSE I WAS NOT ABLE TO SUBMIT MY COMPLAINT. THIS COMPLAINT IS NOT AGAINST “JANAPRIYA” BRAND. I took a flat on rent and paid the broker rs 22000/- as brokerage. Now after completion of the agreement period of two years, the broker is again demanding 2 months rent (approx rs 36000/-) for renewal. He says that there is some government rule according to which he is asking for this money. My question is that, is there any rule for such cases? If yes then what are the exact rules? If landlord and tenant are mutually ready to renew the agreement, then also, does it need to involve broker? What should I do if the broker troubles me. Thanks.

I want valid documents/information about the rules regarding renewal of rent agreement. I want to know my rights that I can use if the broker demands money from me. I want the contact details of agencies whom I can approach for my complaints.
