I had been talked in by the HSBC to take an insurance product BTM 01 00000 3376 SOME THREE YEARS BACK. Since then the TATA AIG have been taking the payment of RS. 329/- against my Credit card of HSBC but till date they have not pro vided me with the policy. Suddenly 15 – 16 months back I realised that I have been cheated by TATA AIG and had been calling them up in their toll free nos. as well as land line no. of Mumbai but every one had the complaint that since I could not provide the policy no. and other details no one could help. I had been running around in the HSBC branch of Shakespeare Sarani also but they were not able to help. Then last FEB09 I had sat in HSBC branch in New Alipore and thankfully one of the staff had a pity on me and with tremendous effort was able to get me the policy no. I had shot a complaint at the same time and given HSBC to stop further payments against the same policy. I had been able to get and email ID of TATA AIg and had written to them to cancell the policy and refund the entire amount. There was and auto reply from them but nothing proceeded after the same I have made several complaints through the mail but to no reply. Suddenly on 4Th April 2009 I recieved a call on my mobile at around 12.15 pm from TATA AIG when I was outside a clients premises in Bhandup Mumbai, where the caller on the phone wanted me to forget the past and was willing to send me a new policy all together, which I had denied and went on persuading to cancell the policy and send me the refund of the premin=ums paid along with the interest and only after threatening them of going to your forum they accepted and confirmed that they will do the necessary processes and then subsequently passed on the phone to his senior. He again tried to persuade me in taking a fresh policy and the same thing repeated. He had agreed to take up the refund immideately and requested me to abstain from any registration of complaints with Consumer courts or any legal actions. But since then i have sent them several remnders for the same but to no effect. Earlier there were auto reply from TATA AIG but even that has stopped. Can you please help me inthis matter. i had taken up the matter last month with HSBC VP Newalipore, Kolkata who had passed on the complaint to his higher authority and then I recieved a mail from them stating that the compalint was to be resolved within 5 working days but nothing has come across to me till date. I am astonished how the HSBC had gone on reimbursing the payment to TATA AIG from my credit card without talking to me for the renewal of policy.
