Earlier in the past some time in Nov,2013 I got a call from 9811457xxx pretending Governing Body of Insurance Council (GBIC) A person named Manish Agrawal on the phone told me that, “If I am not satisfied with policy/MF/Plan performance/Growth, for which I was paying premium then raise a complaint with GBIC any time”. I had a 4 year old reliance policy 17786521 for which I was paying 20000.00 premium annually in half yearly mode but it was not growing well. So I called GBIC in Feb-2014 on following contact No. 9811457xxx and asked for Mr. Manish Agrawal but a another Person named Aditya confirmed me that Mr. Manish got transferred and he is in charge now. So, I discuss the above stated issue of non-performance of my policy with him and he gave me the contact No. 9211394xxx(Arpita Mehta) of Reliance Service Department and make a conference call between three of us (ME, Reliance & GBIC). and discuss the same issue. I have been suggest a solution by which I had to freeze/surrender my existing policy 17786521, then apply for model rebate for covering the loss incurred (due to pre-mature surrender), and then purchase a new policy named Reliance’s Guaranteed Money Back Plan for 22000.00/ annual premium which would be a pre-approved plan for Model rebate. So I did the same as suggested by GBIC and Reliance. I received a new policy 51528974 document around 17 or 18 of March-2014. When I checked the policy document I was shocked to see that my address proof and perhaps Benefit Illustration was signed by someone else with a copy of my signature even the address proof which I submitted with the application form was not there instead a forge bill of Vodafone displaying my address and my Mobile no. (9871013xxx-Airtel) was attached with the policy document. I quickly reported this issue (forge document) to the Reliance service department(9211394xxx) and got a call from investigation dept. who presented a new false story of story that, this mistake happen due to my name (Somesh Bhagat) resemble with some other customer named Somesh Kocher, When I asked his contact detail to confirm the story for my satisfaction they didn’t provided me yet they told me the it is against the policy. What they were saying was that some time to login the policy and achieving the sales target they use to do like that. I also wrote an email with full supporting documents to reliance customer care during March and got a reply that I need to visit the nearest branch submit a written complain at the branch, for which I was not ready due to my hectic schedule. Knocking door here and there April passed. In the May-2014 I decided to restart the complaint process from beginning. I wrote a fresh mail/complain to reliance customer care and grievance cell with all the supporting document and recordings of phone call conversation’s with reliance people. Now this time after 15-20 days they came with a rubbish resolution to cancel the policy and refund the amount
The resolution what I am asking is 1. Cancellation of new policy Reliance’s Guaranteed Money Back Plan (51528974) and refunding the premium 22000.00/- along with the compensation for wasting my time, frustrating me and make me mentally tans about the my investment and authenticity of Reliance Insurance. 2. Surrender the 4 year old policy 17786521 (on which all the story happen) with the current fund value because I lost faith on Reliance Insurance.
