The credit limit given by reliance is INR 1000, and before the due date for payment of bill they start messaging and calling up and demanding me to pay the outstanding amount ASAP failing which my mobile services would be barred. I said that I will pay before the due date and my mobile facility should not be barred before the due date. Still my outgoing STD facility was stopped 5 days prior to the stipulated due date. Ideally, the user is entitled to pay the bill at his leisure as long as it is paid before the due date. But reliance communications started harassing me 10 days before the due date and have barred my STD facility on 02-12-2013 whereas the due date for payment is 07-12-2013. My bill in the previous cycle was INR 724. Adding this as my outstanding amount, the credit limit of INR 1000 exceeded a couple of days ago. Any action against my account should have been taken only in case I failed to pay my bill before the due date. Instead, they have started barring my services starting today. This is a case of consumer harassment. One more area I would like to highlight is the way Reliance Communications presents the detailed bill to the consumer. As per my plan (SimplePPM249_250MB), I am entitled to free 250 MB data usage (Netconnect Usage). Besides this, my bill detail shows additional 50 MB data (Mobile Internet) under “Discounted Usage Summary” section. My bill detail shows that I have used 33.65 MB data of the 50 MB “discounted” data. On further seeing the detailed bill, I see that I have been charged @ 10p/10KB for those 33.65 MB. Even after formally complaining about this, they are adamant on their style of presenting the bill which clearly misleads the consumer. I wish to state that this should also be taken as a complaint against Reliance Communications and action to be taken in this case.

Waiver for the amount charged in my bill, and an official apology from the party. Also, amendments in their policy for credit limit and the way of presenting detailed bill.
