My husband Mr. P Chandrabalan (Sr. Manager, BHEL, Staff No:-2056267) expired on 25th Nov. 2004. The Ration card- he held bearing the No. -1998-2003 17/ GO 6926 / Record No: 484/ Shop No.AC 057 / BHEL Township Ward No.06 -was lost beyond recovery. Now I and my children do not posses ration card. – With the Xerox of my husband’s ration card I approached Tambaram Panchat and there it was said that I had to get an assurance note that a new card was not issued from Tiruchy Taluk. – I had visited twice Tiruchy Taluk Office from Chennai and there it was said that there was no need of assurance letter for an invalid and expired card of 2003 and I had to apply for new ration card by Regd.post at Chennai only. – On 16th Feb. 2010 I approached Assistant Commissioner at Sholinganallur with all the documents mentioned below. But he did not receive my application form and asked me to get an assurance note from Tiruchy Taluk office or to apply when the new Ration cards will be issued. – Even if I visit Tiruchy or Sholinganallur at the time of issuing the new ration card then too there will be the same demand for assurance letter. – Hence I would like to know what I can do to get a new ration card without the transfer /or surrender / or assurance letter and also to know would the online system show that I was not issued family ration card at Tiruchy.
