Dear Sir, I bought my First Samsung Product – A Samsung Grand Quattro phone . We have always been using Blackberry fones and thought to switch this time to samsung — a BIG mistake we now realize !!!!! We paid for this samsung quattro fone from croma store on pusa road on the 21st of july vide bill no SLFO2A104030002396. Since this phone requires a nano sim card , i went to croma on 28th of July with my normal sized sim cards and got them cut by croma store to convert them into nano cards and got my phone activated . This was the day when the sealed box of the phone was opened the very first time ie 28th July. On getting back home the same day i discovered that the phone’s ringer and the loudspeaker wasn’t working. I tried making changes in the settings the next day but to to avail and got tired and went to croma again on the 30th to show the defective piece to Mr Dimple, the store manager in croma on pusa road . Even Mr Dimple failed to rectify the problem and asked me to go to the Samsung care centre . I was told that samsung has a free replacement policy for defective phones if the problem occurred within seven days from the day of activation which in my case was the 28th of july . Not able to take it anymore and not sure of what to do , i called the customer care to lodge a complaint vide ref no 8456042567 dated 3rd aug 2013 . I was then asked to go to West Patel Nagar to show my phone to the Samsung care centre . There i was told that the ringer needs to be replaced since its defective and they also confirmed that the phone had been activated on the 28th of July. There was no assurance of changing the phone from their side knowing that the phone had been activated on the 28th of July which was very much within the policy / warranty guidelines of Samsung . I feel cheated and also at the same time regret my decision of having bought a Samsung phone after using blackberry for ages. Please do help me get the phone replaced since i approached Samsung well within the stipulated time and from day 1 had been facing problems .Also i have gpone thru a lot of harassment for no fault of mine . A Brand new mobile phone with a defective ringer was given to me . One dosent expect a new brand device to be defective . Please help us get our phone replced .
