Samsung S4 – DEFECTIVE MOBILE”. It has a problem in Chip Level.

I bought Samsung S4 mini from your Office (IT World, Habibullah Road, T.Nagar) branch on 18-Sep-2013. The Invoice details as follows, No: 74 name- Mrs. Sudharani Nadesan, Infosys Technologies Ltd. Chennai. Customer code: 2300. When I started using the mobile, I started facing the issue with Mobile Network as well. Please refer below points for the issue description: 1. If go one place to another place, unable to pick the Mobile Tower Signal. I have to Switch off and on the mobile to retrieve the mobile signal. 2. I have contacted my mobile service vendor (Vodafone) for this issue. They suggested me go for a New Micro sim. I bought the micro sim from them as well. Even though this problem never got solved. 3. I have been to Samsung Service center, they have replaced their sim card and checked. It working fine. But the actual problem is, if Tower range changes, mobile is unable to fetch the singal. After Switch off and on, it will work fine. 4. I called Vodafone Call Center for this issue, they suggeted to use, “Vodefone Live” app and default setting for Roaming (To refresh the Sim data). Even though this issue not addressed. 5. I have gone through some websites, and got to know about the Mobile Signal Strength and Network Type details. Please refer the below details for the same from my mobile, Before Switch On: Signal Strength: 90 dbm 10 asu Mobile Network Type: GPRS:1 (During this state, unable to receive / make calls) —————– After Switch On: Signal Strength: -79 dbm 17asu / -83 dbm 15asu Mobile Network Type: EDGE:1 / EDGE:2 (During this state, able to receive / make calls. If go one place to another place, the mobile has been switched to GPRS network state. Hence unable to receive / make calls) This is is actual problem. To identify the problem I have spent 3 Weeks as well as I have lost many important calls as well. 6. With this problem details, I have contact Samsung customer care. They asked me to install “Smart Tutor” app in my mobile and checked my mobile remotely. The default Signal range should be 95 – 120 dbm (which never available in my mobile).They confirmed, that, my mobile has problem in Signal Receiver Chip. That is is the reason it is not showing the Network type: “HIDPA”. If this network type is available in the mobile means, it will work as normal. They asked me to go and check with Service center for this problem again. Service center also confirmed there is an issue in Mother board. Which needs to be replace. Solutions Expected: 1. As per the above mentioned points, the mobile which I got from you is “DEFECTIVE MOBILE”. It has a problem in Chip Level. 2. As I don;t want to get this mobile serviced and keep using this. Since it is new mobile and I am expecting there should not be any issues. 3. Since, it is defective mobile, I need replacement for this mobile with Good mobile (without any issues).
