SBI – Non Processing of Home Loan Application

1. I have a DSP account with SBI. The number is 30089323775. 2. I purchased a property in NOIDA and took HL through DHFL. This was in Oct 11. I was posted at DSSC, Wellington then. 3. Soon after that ( by the end of Oct 11) I applied for HL with SBI, DSSC, Wellington. I gave all the documents and the same were forwarded to RCPC, Ooty. 4. However, till Apr 12 no decision was given and I got posted out to Pune. Mr Manickavasagam was the Chief Manager at Ooty and Mr Ramesh the BM at SBI, DSSC wellington branch. 5. I pursued the case, but the progress was at snail’s pace. Finally after lot of persuasion I was recalled to Ooty in Feb 13. I was given in principle approval and requirements of a few more documents. I gave all those by the month end to Mr Ramesh, BM , DSSC Wellington. However, the delay from his side resulted in the documents being submitted in Apr 13 and the RCPC had closed down by Mar 13 end. The BM then submitted the documents to Coimbatore but the RM SBI ( Mr Mohan) declined to sanction loan since I was in Pune then. I spoke to him and he promised that he would help me in getting the loan quickly from Pune, but made no efforts to accomplish that. He even stopped picking up calls. 6. All the documents were forwarded to BM, NDA Pune in Aug 13 ( Mr Gosavi). He promised quick action, but loan was not sanctioned till Jan 14 end. Now he has moved out of the branch and new BM has taken over. 7. I am aggrieved by the way SBI has approached the whole case and that there has been a delay of two years and three months till date in sanction of loan. All this while like a good customer I having faith in the system kept chasing the case up. 8. Now it has become unbearable. All this while I have been paying a higher ROI to DHFL and did not approach any other organisation too. 9. I am stationed at Pune and e-mailed the Mumbai nodal officer on 03 Feb 13. Till date I have not got any reply from his side. I even gave a telephone call and spoke to Ms Madhuri at Bombay on 18 Feb 14, but to no help. I gave a written complaint to BM, NDA branch and a reminder also. The new BM politely says that he apologies for delay. He adds that he is unaware of the delays and urged me to start all over again. 10. A mere sorry cannot undo past grievances. My application is already available with them and they should take it ahead from that point rather than starting all over again.

I want a refund of my valuation and legal charges. In addition, the difference of ROI be paid to me i.e Rs 30000/- Investigation should be done where the system is at fault and defaulters should be penalized.
