Shoe Replacement of Bata Loyal Customer

Dear Customer Service Manager, Today I had a very surprised experience and hence I felt it’ll be good if I share it with any concerned person who may take it as feedback. I would like to give the title of my feedback as ” A brand loyalty is broken after 20 steps and an one liner ” Sorry not possible” Let me explain the background: Yesterday night, I along with family went to Inorbit Mall, Bangalore near whitefield, to purchase a pair of shoe for my wife Cash Memo# 28-11-15/1/0067 01530 Time : 21:05:18 Shoe : id: F66448820000 Rs. 1699.00 We went to buy a pair of ladies shoe -size 5 for my wife and we were given two different size shoe initially, when we shown it to the boy (Abdur/Abdul), he brought a new box and told that it is right -Size 5 ( our mistake we have not verified. but unfortunate today we were told that we are lying). Today we went to shop again to replace it with right size(Timing 7:40 PM).. We were informed that yesterday size 5 was not there and we can’t accept this shoe as these are used. in 24 hours it became so old that shop owner/Manager advised me to please complaint to customer care and he can’t return it as for him it is a loss. I advised him to please keep the shoe with him and left your showroom.. Amazed with his attitude (as he refused to tell me the name).

This is my 2nd email. probably I will post it in FB as well. Being from Calcutta and as a Bengali, we do prefer “BATA” as shoe brand, though we are aware that now we have plenty of brand available in the market. But sorry to say, from today onwards we won’t remain as BATA loyalist.. It is not because our complaint was not accepted, or because we were liar ( as mentioned by shop manager), it is simply because I realized it is important to change with time. Thanks for the services we received till now from various BATA stores. I don’t have any further intent to visit your shop and/or take this complaint further. Since I left the shoe there at shop and requested the shop owner/manager that I will definitely share this information through an email, I don’t have any strong stand to prove that I am not at fault. Neither We don’t have any intent to get the money back or a replacement of the shoe after meeting your store people . We will remember that————- “20 steps walking cost me so much that I was told a liar and my brand loyalty is shattered”.. Appreciate “BATA” remain as common man’s brand … retain your customer..
