Shopping.indiatimes.com – not delivered rakhi proper time

I booked a rakhi courier on 11th Aug’13 for delivery to “SHAMLI” in UP PINcode 247776. Website checked pincode prior to taking booking and it was said that orders booked on or before 16th Aug’13 will get delivered on or before Rakhi day. I started follow-up with company’s (shopping.indiatimes.com)customer care about not showing any courier details on their website but they assured me that it will be delivered on or before 20th Aug’13 and that I should not worried. I asked them that its very urgent and it has emotions attached to it, its not just a other gift parcel, its rakhi. To mu surprise, when I contacted customer care yesterday, on 20th Aug’13, they assured me that it will be delivered by today evening anyhow. They even claimed that it will be hand-delivered. I asked for courier details so that I can follow-up and keep an eye on it. They provided me that it has been couriered with first flight and consignment no is R99112543. I checked this info on firstflight.net, and it showed me that its origin is “Jaipur” and destination is “SHIMLA” whereas I asked them delivery to SHAMLI (UP). I was shocked, I was having contact no. of first flight Muzaffarnagar person, Thinking there might be any updation mistake on website,I contacted him, he denied having received any courier with no. R99112543, and checked on his system and tell me that its bound for SHIMLA. I again contacted shopping.indiatimes customercare and instead of listening to my problem, they assured me that it will be delivered by today (20th Aug’13). I sent emails to first flight office and shopping.indiatimes.com, but was no fruitful. Yesterday evening, at destination one message was received that the Rakhi courier will take another 4 days to reach. And I got a mail from indiatimes shopping indicating expected delivery date as 26th Aug’13. What type of wrong claim they are making…!!! They are playing with emotions and sentiments of people….!!! When they take order, they expect to check PINCODE on website, even PINCODE is needed to give proper address, then why they blindly sent rakhi to SHIMLA (Himachal Pradesh) instead of SHAMLI (Uttar Pradesh)…!!! I persuaded my wife to sent rakhi thru’ indiatimes shopping as they were saying it will be delivered before rakhi day… now I have lost trust… even my wife is in anger and feeling pained due to not being able to sent rakhi for her alone brother.

1. I need proper apology from shopping.indiatimes.com. 2. Rs 11000/- (min) as compensation for mental harrasement. And this will open up their eyes so that in future they will ensure timely and proper delivery and will not make false commitments on their website. If they are taking full address and chekcing PINCODE before taking orders, then responsibility lies onto them to get it delivered and to provide that complete information to any person or company handling dispatch workk for them. Its from my point of view.
