Sir, Please refer to trailing emails between my wife Mrs Rashmi mathur (complainant) and snapdeal.com(against whom complaint is being lodged).A mini lapltop (ASUS 1015E-CY041D) was bought through snapdeal.com.The product belonging to ASUS company ,having SR No D8N0cx200962331 was delivered through courier service at CBD Belapur in Navi Mumbai to Mrs Rashmi mathur and a sum of around Rs 17003 was paid to the courier man. The product was bought online through portal snapdeal.com. On opening the package and on attempting to electrically charge the laptop it was found dead and could not be electrically charged. A complaint bearing No 4077465 was lodged with snapdeal.com. The snapdeal.com informed to return the piece to ASUS technology pvt ltd in Andheri Mumbai and take a Dead on Arrival (DOA) certificate from them (ASUS technology pvt ltd in Andheri Mumbai) and send a copy to them (snapdeal.com).They (snapdeal.com) also informed that money will be refunded soon. The DOA certificate was taken, a copy was send to snapdeal.com on 29.11.2013. Now they(snapdeal.com) are saying to send the piece (mini laptop) also otherwise they will not refund the money. It is totally rediculous. On its portal they make big claims of refunding the money in 7 days in such cases but in reality it is totally false claim. Once the piece has been deposited to ASUS technology pvt ltd in Andheri Mumbai how it is possible for us to send the piece to snapdeal.com. It is a ploy from ASUS technology pvt ltd and snapdeal.com to harass the helpless customer. They have defaulted by selling a defective product to a customer.They are trying to cheat helpless customer. They should not be allowed to sell product online. Kindly look into matter and take up the issue on your channel. It is requested that they should pay the entire amount plus another Rs 17003 as compensation for the mental agony and harrassment caused by them.
