COMPLAINT against SNAPDEAL and Customer care team – Swati, Kavita, Vikas, Rohit and their supervisor Anjali and Floor supervisor Deepak for cheating customer by not providing correct information and not providing complaint Number. [133722]
On 23rd January 2015, I had ordered a Lenovo Notebook under order no.4579546502. The price mentioned on the Snapdeal clearly mentioned the price as Rs. 3630. Initially, i was amazed as it showed a discount of 86%. However, on further surfing, i found there was another laptop from Lenovo being offered at Rs.3100. Moreover, it was the day when online sales was starting for 3 days on account of Republic day on all the e commerce portals. So i went ahead and ordered the laptop. My order was successfully placed, money was debited from my account, i received order confirmation email from Snapdeal and even the message that the product has been dispatched (as attached)
The true face of Snapdeal started on 25th Jan 2015, when i observed that all of sudden my order history from Snapdeal account has been wiped off. On calling their customer service and speaking to Swati, i was told they will check and get back to me. I also asked Swati about the status of the delivery of the order no. 4579546502 and she said that it will be delivered before 28th Jan, she also shared the courier no. and the contact no. of the courier company to track the status. On calling the courier company, i was horrified as i was told that my product will not be delivered as the ordered has been cancelled by Snapdeal and they had been instructed to send the consignment back to Snapdeal and I should contact snapdeal.
I called up Snapdeal and spoke to Swati, Kavita, Vikas, Rohit and even their supervisors Anjali and the Floor Supervisor Deepak and they all kept the same stand that the product will be delivered to me by 28th Jan 2015, but when i told them that the courier guy has clearly confirmed that the product will not be delivered to me because they had been instructed by Snapdeal to cancel the deliver as their was some pricing issue. Than they accepted that yes there was some technical issue and human error and hence they cannot sell this product to me. I have all the screenshots clearly showing the advertised product and price as well as all the recorded conversations with the Snapdeal executives mentioned above as i had no other option since they were not providing me any complaint number. Neither there is any mechanism to raise or register your complaint on Snapdeal portal. My Grievance: Snapdeal sends message for every small step right from placing the order till the delivery of the order. If there was a technical or human error, i am sure it must have been detected soon, so why i (as a customer) was not informed than and there. On the contrary the company kept fooling me every time i called them. The error, if so was rectified as the same product is now priced at a much higher price, but the company never informed me.
I demand that the said laptop must be delivered to me else I’m moving to the Consumer Court of Law.
