Sony Experia – Mobile Manufacturing error – Review

Dear Sir, I bought 2 mobile – Samsung S3 & Sony Experia SS 358096052783178 on Dec 11, 2013 from your R S Puram branch (opp Mc Donalds) Coimbatore. The very next day, on Dec 12, 2013, while inserting my memory card in Sony Experia, I found a small part inside the mobile moving. I took the small piece and went to your shop. One of your employees ( I don’t remember the name of the person) said that the small part was NFC which is used to transfer files from one Sony to another and that comes in that way. I came back satisfied with his answer. But it took a long time for me to realise that he only managed my ignorance as I didn’t know that faulty NFC could decide the warranty of the mobile since it is damaged (Manufacturing error) On the 22nd July, I gave my mobile for service on account of on/off switch not working properly. Despite being in the warranty period, I am denied of the benefit of service just because the main component was tampered. Today, when I explained the same to Univercell employee Mr. Karthik, he feels that the concerned employee I met on Dec 12, 2013 ( name of whom I don’t remember) should have taken suitable measures at that moment itself, but didn’t. The most painful part of the conversation was that none at UniverCell wanted to take any ownership for a misselling. Now, I realise that the Univercell staff, instead of replacing the mobile due to manufacturing defect of the NFC, mis-sold the mobile to me and managed me when I went back with the NFC piece. This has led to breach of warranty conditions and hence I am liable to spend INR 5000-6000 for replacing the motherboard now as per the estimate of Sony Service Center. With a feeling of remorse of being cheated by misselling that too by such a trusted brand Univercell, I resolved to write to you to seek justice. I request you to replace my mobile which should have been done the next day of the purchase. FYI: My mobile is now in Sony service centre. Ph: 0422-22306xxx.
