SONY MOBILE INDIA – poor service

COMPLAINT AGAINST POOR SERVICE BY SONY MOBILE INDIA ear Sir, My name is Lakshay Arora and I had purchased a Sony Hanset Live with Walkman last year on 01.01.2012 from your Authorised Store Glitch Systems in Janak Puri in New Delhi. The battery of the same started giving me problems and I contacted the West Patel nagar Service Centre on 31.12.2012 to get the issue rectified. I called up on 011-42482214 and the person told me that as the technician wasnt available today he would be able to tell me about the battery issue if I can back tomorrow. I told him that my phone might be out of warranty as I had purchased it on 1st Jan 2012 and tomorrow would be 1st Jan 2013. But he told me that no tomorrow is the last day of my warranty and he will hence sort out my issue. When I again called today on the same number Mr. Varun spoke to me. He said that my phone is out of warranty. I felt like cheated. I explained him the whole sitaution that yesterday some one had told me that it is still in warranty and had asked me to come tomorrow so that the battery can be repaired in warranty even on 1st Jan 2013. He like a good service person agreed to me but told me that all battery are replaced if they have a problem and for the replacement I need to keep my battery with them for 10 days. I cant keep my phone off for 10 days. I explained him this and he said that it is your problem so you have to think how to get it rectified. I just dont know how can you expect some one to say to a customer like that. He also said that I had not taken the phone from his shop. Am I speaking to some one else other than Sony? Doesnt he represent Sony service? Is Sony a brand or a shop where some one can say like this?. The person I thought who is keeping his words to get my battery replaced did let me down. I am sorry I cant switch off my phone for 10 days. I want the battery to be replaced. You can note my request and arrange for the spare. Which company has no spares with them? When the spare battery comes I will get it replaced by giving my old battery hand to hand. Even this now if out of warranty you have to do it as I have registered my problem with you well in warranty on 31 dec 2012. Your executives told me to talk the next day and now you are making me wait due to non availability of spares. Hopeful of an action soon.
