StanChart Credit Card Harassment – Deduction of money from Bank A/C

I have been a premium customer of Standard Chartered Bank, S.V Road Branch, Santa Cruz, Mumbai. I have been using saving account, Dmat Account, Debit Card and Credit Card services of the bank and for last 5 years however for last year and half there has been an ongoing conflict regarding the payment issue for my credit card which is overdue for quite sometime and we were in the process of negotiating with the bank for one time settlement cost but one fine day I received an email from my bank wherein an amount was proposed to amicably settle the full and final payment and which I immediately replied back within few hours agreeing to make the said payment but requested to provide some extra in order to make the payment in time as I was travelling out of India at that moment and it takes time to arrange fund but bank without replying to my mail or saying anything arbitrary deducted my entire money from my saving account without prior approval or intimation or warning of any nature. I have been dealing with various banks in different continents and have never come across such experiences in my life. Prior to this, my family and I have been getting threatening calls from bank’s recovery team from Mumbai and they have been using all the indecent languages to threaten my family and me. If required I am even ready to make available the call details of my mobile number which will substantiate my contention. This action of the bank is totally an act of theft under Indian Penal Code. I would pray to this court to kindly acknowledge my request and take all the necessary measure and this Hon’ble Court be pleased to declare the action of the Bank arbitrary and amounting to theft. This Hon’ble Forum be pleased to declare a heavy pecuniary penalty on the Bank to avoid any similar incident in future. Further, the Hon’ble Forum may direct the Bank to pay the any other necessary relief Costs that this Hon’ble Forum deem just and fit to grant. I am praying for a speedy trial of this case as I am not in country and all the inconvenience that has been caused to me for arbitrary action of the bank

I would request this Consumer Court to grant me pecuniary damage for all that I have suffered and my family has suffered. The worst of everything is that they are calling my family and brother and threading them on the phone and using obscene language which is not at all acceptable.
