Star Health Allied Insurance Co Ltd

I am having a health policy from M/s Star Health & Allied Insurance co Ltd. I am having this policy for the last three years with no breaks.

I had undergone a surgical treatment at hospital which is registered with this insurance company. Unfortunately or fortunately, this treatment didn’t require the hospitalisation required for 24 hours. But since the nature of the treatment was surgical and not a general OPD and hence it should have been covered under the policy. I had submitted the claim along with the doctor’s report and bills to the company on 20th Aug’2011 at Delhi and the officials of the company forwarded the claim to Chennai Head office after doing the necessary routine check up of the bills and claim. I was assured that everything is fine and the claim will be settled in about 15 working days.

But I got annoyed on receiving the rejection letter very recently from the company on the ground that the 24 hour hospitalisation was not there in my case. I took up the matter with the greivance deptt of the company but they also dismissed my claim.

Sir, I am approaching you now for getting the justice in my matter. I have been paying the insurance premium for last three years, and if the genuine claims are not settled, why should one be associated with this company and I request you to take stern action against this company for such wrong doings.
