We had confirmed booking with Stayzilla.com for The Heritage Resort, Coorg from 12-oct-2013 to 14-oct-2013. Inspite of making the full payment before check in and receiving the booking confirmation a day in advance from Stayzilla on arriving at the resort on 12th Oct we were informed that there was no booking done in my name in the resort. Stayzilla did not even bothered to inform about non confirmation of booking the day before we had left for from our home in Bangalore. Instead we got this shock when we reached the resort. As there were no rooms available at the resort, we had requested Stayzilla to compensate this by booking at an equivalent or better resort. There were rooms available at Taj vivanta coorg, but Stayzilla told us that there were no rooms available. As we had no other option but to book the room ourselves ,we did the booking at Taj at much higher rates. We landed up paying almost triple the amount. Trusting Stayzilla website has cost us too much, financially as well as our time, and mental stress. We asked Stayzilla to pay us the differential amount (amount paid by us to Taj vs what we had paid to Stayzilla for the booking but they have not sent any response in 5 days. We also tried to speak to Rupal from Stayzilla but he did not take our call.’
Additional amount paid by us due to Stayzilla’s mistake of Rs. 24,751 plus compensation for mental stress due to cheating by Stayzilla Rs. 50,000.
