Hi, My name is Deepak Kumar and I use Tata photon for about a year now. My Tata photon number is 9213569197. I am facing a serious issue with as mentioned below: My number was prepaid until now. ON 20th I got a call from Tata guys saying that I need to resubmit my ID, a photo, and Address proof documents. When I asked why, they said until now Tata was using the same network for Tata mobile as well as Tata photon but now they are separating it and thus requiring to resubmit all docs from existing customers. That sounded reasonable to me so I agreed to resubmit my documents. They sent a guy at my home to collect the documents. When this guy came he had the postpaid application form with him. I certainly did not want to upgrade to postpaid so I denied submitting the documents.
Then the guy made me speak with his boss who said he was the Zonal head of Tata Photon operations in Delhi and he was from their Okhla office. That guy convinced me that the document are just for migrating to the dedicated network (as mentioned previously) and not for upgrade from prepaid to postpaid. I was still not 100% convinced so I clearly wrote on the documents that these are just for migrating to the dedicated network and certainly not for upgrading from prepaid to postpaid. Then I handed over the documents. Later that guy called again and tried convincing me that upgrading to postpaid is a great idea. I momentarily said maybe yes. But then I called him again 2 times and clarified that I certainly don’t want to upgrade from prepaid to postpaid. They asked me to not to worry and my number will not be upgraded to postpaid. My monthly recharge cycle requires me to recharge on 20th so I recharged my prepaid account on the 20th as I was under the impression that it will certainly not be upgraded to postpaid. But today my service was disconnected. When I called customer support they said my number has been upgraded to postpaid and thus I am required to do some verification. This was just so frustrating. I called that guy again who boasted of being the zonal head of Tata.. he was not at all understanding. He in fact abused me as well. This has been a terrible experience so far. My point is why the hell my account was upgraded to postpaid when : 1. I did not fill the postpaid application form. If you guys have that form it must be having fake signature 2. The documents which I provided for migrating to dedicated tata photon network had clearly written on them in big red words that these are not for upgrading from prepaid to postpaid. 3. I had called those guys twice and said I certainly don’t want to upgrade from prepaid to postpaid. 4. I had recharged my prepaid account on 20th and it already had some 6000 mb + usage balance. How could they upgrade my account in between of my current cycle. If the upgrade was to happen shouldn’t it have happened at the end of my current cycle?
I want them to refund my data usage balance which was around 6600 MB. Refund against travel expenses, phone calling expenses, and for the time I lost traveling & calling them Compensation for the mental harassment and agony they caused on me.
