I was interested in getting an Internet Connection from TIKONA DIGITAL NETWORKS(TDN) at my place. So I called a guy named Pushkar Tripathy on Feb.24,2013.He sent an executive named Arshad on the same day by the 4pm and everything was done. This guy connected a cable to a device which was already there on the roof of my building for some pre-existing customers. When I inquired as to why he would not set up a new device for me, he could say nothing. He unsuccessfully explained to me that there was a shortage of the devices.(to which I strongly disagree and find it a very lame and stupid excuse). He requested me to make a payment for Rs.1800/- online and and that was the only way for me to have the connection started.He told me that once I activate my account after the payment, I would be able to request for a new device through customer service. SO, I MADE AN ONLINE PAYMENT AT A CYBER CAFE on the same day. Later on, at 12 o’clock , I received a message on my cellphone confirming the activation. I was able to log on and used the internet for 3-4 hours.
Next morning, I woke up to find that my internet was not working. And when I went on to check what might have happened, I found the wire was not there. So, I contacted the person who had a connection from the same device, he was unaware of the happenings. So, I called this guy Arshad again to explain everything and asked him to fix this. He offered no assistance. He said he could do nothing unless I have an approval from the customer service to set up a new device.
I started my endless journey with the customer service, only to know that they were unable to do anything. I spoke to 9 different representatives including 4 supervisors. Most of them, barring 3 agents treated me as if I was a lunatic demanding something out of this world. I kept on asking them to do something to fix this mess. They kept on promising that an ENGINEER would be sent ASAP to correct everything. (NO ONE CAME). I was told on every call that someone would call me back. I received one call from you guys on the fourth day. And I had decided till then to cancel the services. I told that supervisor to cancel the services and refund the amount. He, in return, again advised me to wait for a call within 3 days to confirm the cancellation. And to everyone’s delight, as usual, no one called me . I kept on calling on all three persons involved namely – ARSHAD, PUSHKAR TRIPATHY and one RAJESH(Arshad’s supv) . After Feb.27th, all three of them stopped picking up my call. The last time I sent them an email was on March 13, 2013
I want a refund for the payment that I made. I would also want an apology from the guys involved I am not going to let those guys not giving me any service, harassing me with their pathetic customer service and sitting on my money. Rs.1800/- is not a huge amount that I am cribbing about but, those guys won’t pay me any interest on that small amount either. My user ID that they gave me, is – 1107991276.
