Dealer asked for excess money to deliver the car. Details as follows:- 1.I had booked skoda Rapid prestige elegance1.6 TDI by paying booking amt of Rs.25000(Ex-showroom Rs.937085 –more than price quoted in skoda website-Rs.935990 + insurance(Rs.38706)+Tax(Rs.109209)) on May16th,2013 –and was also offered corporate discount of Rs.5000/- .Total Onroad price – Rs.1085000/- (excluding corp discount) 2.Gurudev motors promised delivery on May 23rd,2013 once they receive the fund from Bank.I availed car loan from HDFC bank 3.HDFC bank funded 100% loan on onroad price(Rs.10,80000) and offered me HDFC car insurance (Rs.29000 approx) and the dealer agreed upon that. So this gets the onroad price Rs.1070645/- 4.HDFC bank released the amount to Gurudev Motors( Rs.1017234 + 1month EMI+ Insurance) on May21st 2013 after getting the confirmation from me telling that the dealer has to pay back you the balance amount of Rs.940/- and there is no dues I had to pay to dealer. 4.I checked the dealer for car delivery on May22nd,2013.Shocked to see Mr.Moorthy(Manager) from Gurudev motors demanded Rs. 14,355 more only then he can deliver the car. 5.When asked for reasons, the response from Moorthy is that it is the compensation I had to pay the dealer just because I took HDFC insurance instead of dealer insurance. This was not communicated to me and to Bank as well. 6.HDFC bank was shocked to know about this as they had already transferred the funds . 7.Mr.Moorthy also spoke to me in a rude way, that if you need the vehicle pay extra or you can cancel it. 8.I thought I was cheated big time and opted for cancelling the vehicle. To my shock, i was charged Rs.5000/- as cancellation charges by Gurudev motors and they refused to give me the receipt for the same. 9.Also Gurudev motors transferred the amount Rs.1017234 to HDFC bank only after 4-5 days of time for which I paid Rs.5200/- as interest+ loan cancellation fee to HDFC Bank . 10. I have all the required proof of evidence in supporting my points. 11.Above all, the dealer refused to sned the cancellation amount cheque(Rs.20000) to me and demanded me to come in person to collect it. When booking, it was the other way.
1.I went through a lot of stress and disturbed heavily on this incident. 2.I need to be compensated for the money I lost in this transaction and the mental agony I faced, cheated me and my family who were expecting a new car. 3.Spent lot of time in this and needs to be compensated as well. 4.The compensation has to be the fifty times the money I lost (Rs.5,10,000) and this should be a eye opener for the dealers who always take the consumers for ride.
