Hello, My name is Raja and I’m working as a Product Lead in Top MNC at Hyderabad. Today, I went to UniverCell showroom in Madhapur, Hyderabad to buy a new mobile. They showed me a sealed pack of Nokia Asha 301. Once we finalized the price, I confirmed the order and asked them to process the order. By the time I signed the debit card payslip and handed it back to them, they replaced the sealed box with a different box which had a demo/display piece. Keeping all the trust in UniverCell, I didn’t mind when they took the phone from the box and started showing me the contents inside the box including the mobile. After coming home when my wife and I were browsing for a few photos that we clicked with the new handset, we noticed that there were a few photos that were clicked by some strangers earlier dated back to 18th August and we confirmed that was date it showed was correct as we could see the Independence Day decoration of the UniverCell showroom in a few of the pictures. By seeing these photos, we realized that it was a DEMO piece that they gave us as a NEW piece. When I realized that I was cheated I called up the UniverCell Regional office and they informed me that they will look in to it. After a few minuted I got a call from Madhapur showroom saying very casually that it was just a mistake and I need to go all the way back to the showroom and just get it replaced as if this is a normal thing that happens everywhere. I really feel cheated by this experience and I’m planning to go legal & file a complaint against the UniverCell Madhapur showroom soon. Thanks, Raja S Ram
