I have taken a policy from ING Vysya on 3rd October 2007. Even though for premium receipt, I have to do the many follow ups and get the receipt and documentation for policy detail. But I have found lot of mistakes in document. Regarding make call to their customer service and they do not respond properly. So highly frustrated with their service and I have made a request on 2008 to cancel my policy. After frequent of follow up on this I got a reply according to IRDA rule you can’t cancel/close your policy upto 3 years. After completion of 3 year I have sent a mail to them to refund my premium amount. But I didn’t get any response from them. After frequent of follow I have sent a mail on 2nd March 2010 by stating “I am not getting proper response and I am dissatisfied with your service and you forced me to go consumer court for getting back my amount”. Thereafter I have received a call on 5th March 2010 and they told “Not possible to refund your amount, the only way to get back your paid amount is to Pay the rest of premium amount and sent the request for closing the policy or else the policy has elapsed after 5 years and too the amount.”
Please clarify me and advice how to get back my paid amount.
