Vodafone – No clarity monthly billing amount customer care has yielded no results

Sir, You may like to note the following chain of events: 1. An email to ‘vodafonecare.mum@vodafone.com’ on 29th Oct 2013 was sent highlighting the following issues and with a request to surrender the said connection a. Despite number of requests, never received the detailed bill b. No clarity under which plan this number is c. No clarity on the monthly billing amount d. Several follow ups with customer care has yielded no results A copy of mail is attached for your reference. To let you know there was no reply from their end. Despite asking for the electronic/physical bills, it was never delivered. Finally, with a lot of persuasion, the retention team sent the bills which are attached for your reference. You would notice that by mistake two plans were made active Rs 450 per month and also Rs 650 per month. When I requested to activate Rs 650 per month plan, I would expect that the erstwhile plan is de-activated which was not the case and Rs 450 plan remain activated and I was charged for both the plans. As of Nov ’13, the outstanding amount was Rs 2,830/- adjusting it for Rs 650×2 (for 2 months wrong billing), I was supposed to pay Rs 1,530/-. The retention team asked me to settle the amount at Rs 1,400/-. They promised that post this payment they will issue a settlement letter which I can take to one of the stores and formally close the connection. After making the payment of Rs 1,400/-, I sent a reminder on 17th Dec, 2013 to retention team requesting the settlement letter. No letter is issued so far. A copy of the request mail is also attached for your reference. I have made the payment to the dues as agreed with Vodafone and currently no outstanding are dues against me which requires any further payment. Today on 16th they sent a legal notice through Mr. Harish Gore. Advocate, High Court demanding Rs 1,720.84 to be settled within a week. A copy is attached.

Drop the legal notice and send an apology letter.
