VW Vento Highline – car has been behaving rather abnormally defective New Car

I had purchased a brand new VW Vento Highline though CSD from Puran Motors Allahabad. I am a serving doctor with the Indian Air Force. The delivery was made on 12 Sep 13. On 20 Sep 13 around 10 PM I was going to my hospital to attend to a patient, the car lost all acceleration and the display panel showed two warning signs including EPC warning. I contacted the sales team immediately as i was not able to drive the car it besides was a rainy evening. He advised me to go back home and told me that the complaint would be looked into. Next day it took me numerous calls to get the team attend to my car. The could not solve the problem at my home and a brand new car which was not even registered at that time was taken back to the workshop. The car stayed at the workshop till 24 Sep 13 (04 days) while the engineers were working to get the error fixed. I was offered the car back on 24 Sep 13 in the evening. It was told that the warnings have all been resolved. But, unfortunately during the test drive the warnings came on again with the same result, the car was taken back to the workshop. Now at this juncture i informed the sales team that i will not accept the same car back and a new replacement be provided. The sales head agreed to my demand and requested 15-20 days for a new car. Meanwhile they continued working on this car,a couple of days later around 28 Sep 13 , Mr Kapoor the sales head pleaded with me saying that my Car has been rectified and that its his personnel assurance that the car is absolutely fine and that it wont require any assistance from the workshop in the near future. I took his word and took the delivery of my car. The car was registered soon. But, my agony did not end just at that. Around diwali time the car again showed some error, but thankfully it did not stop as had happened earlier. This time the car engineer tried to reset the car ofline. Again it was taken back to workshop after about ten days that too on my insistence. No work could be done on the error as it was diagnosed that a faulty cable needs to be replaced. I carried on driving a brand new car with a constant look out on the display panel for some new error to prop up. Finally 4 days back the cable has been replaced. This time no errors have propped up till now. But, I keep n looking at the display panel for the next error to prop up.

The car has been behaving rather abnormally ever since delivery. I am to some extent assured at present since it has not caused me any economic damage as the car is in warranty. Keeping the state of affairs in mind, the warranty of the car be increased from present 2 years to 5 years. In addition i expect monetary relief of Rs 200,000/- for the mental trauma that the company and the dealership has caused me over the past 3 months. I hope that the matter will be taken up at the highest level and a solution will be found.
