We have been charged exorbitant rates, much above the prevalent market prices, by Tata Authorised Service Station (TASS) i.e. Walia Auto Station, Paonta Sahib. It is also submitted that we have not been given the bill and even the parts replaced have not been returned to us. This amounts to gross violation of all consumer norms by the TASS concerned. The driver of our school bus was man-handled, physically evicted from the vehicle, and the keys snatched from him. Thereafter, the vehicle was illegally seized and impounded by Walia Auto Station and we could get it recovered only with the help of the Police. This is highly unfortunate. The matter had been taken up with Tata Motors, however, the grievance is yet to be resolved. The email communication with Tata Motors may also be submitted, however, the ms word file could not be attached herewith.
It is pertinent to mention here that we have no intentions to delay or deny the genuine payments, but we cannot be coerced to make illegal and unjustified payments. We have again requested Tata Motors to expedite the matter and cordially resolve the issues. Here also we would like the matter to be resolved amicably. Moreover, we claim appropriate compensation for the harassment caused to the school children, myself being women, and the driver for physical assault.
