I have purchased the Whirl pool SPLIT 1.5 TON AC on 09/3/2010 .Which is 1+4 years warranty period. The Warranty includes the compressor. Recently AC was not worked i reported to the whilpool service center in Kadapa of Andhrapradesh. They attended promptly The service mechanic told that my AC compressor was defective that has to be changed and requested for my invoice copy i have given the invoice they confirmed that the compressor was in guaranteed period. The service engineer changed the Compressor . After changing the compressor they given Bill stating that GAS filling for 2Kgs :1200×2=2400 , Service change :350 and capacitor:850 Total Rs:3600. I asked them the guarantee comes with words” Gas charging is included when the compressor is defective” but they replied that gas filling charge extra.But he Compressor changed due to defective compressor only.
