Date: 12.05.2014 place: woodland hospital, shillong(meghalaya) reported to “woodland hospital”emergency ward for diagnosis of my right hand ring finger, which was under immense pain due to an accident. the doctor injected a pain killer and referred for digital x-ray, lateral & ap. after diagnosis and inspection of the digital x-ray report of my finger (the x-ray was done in the same hospital), the doctor wrote “normal” and explained the condition of my finger as under slight sprain which shall be fine in few days time. date: 31.05.2014 place: aiims (new delhi) condition: the swelling of my finger did not alleviate till then and when visited the orthopaedic department of aiims, new delhi, the preliminary diagnosis and x-ray confirmed the “break of bone and tendon.” i was subjected to open surgery of finger and a button was installed along with plaster up to elbow on 02.06.2014. later, i was again subjected to a surgery and a rod was drilled to keep the bone stable on 11.06.2014. i was misguided by the doctors and staffs of “woodland hospital, shillong”due to which my condition deteriorated and i had to undergo severe pain both physical and mental, the financial harassment is something to be considered too. i was asked for x-ray (digital) to be done at the woodland hospital, which i did and paid too. the other medicines too were bought by me. had the doctor not misguided me about the condition, i had not to live with such painful situation for this long. however, as per the comments of the consultant of aiims, orthopedic section, the case of my finger was too severe and needed urgent operation as the medication was delayed, “the main and only reason of which is the wrong guidance and diagnosis of the doctors of “woodland hospital, shillong”.” note: all documents related with “woodland hospital, shillong,” comprising of prescription of the doctor, the xray report and payment done for x-ray and the injection, the doctors remark about the case is available with me and can be submitted when asked for. the other diagnosis in aiims, new delhi and the operation undergone by me along with all related x-ray reports, documents are also available with me.

considering the mental and physical trauma along with financial set back dealt by me, i demand a sum of ten lakhs (10,00,000/-) as compensation. also, the woodland hospital, shillong shall be debarred from medical fraternity and its license may be cancelled.
