XOLO QC 800 Tablet – Problems / Issues – A Review –

I , Deepak Tyagi, purchased XOLO QC 800 tablet (IMEI NUMBER – 911325900049429) online. The tablet was delivered to me on 22 Jan 14. When some music/ games were played then we realised that the sound volume was just audible. Preliminary, we thought it might be because of the volume settings. In the settings page, we increased the sound volume to maximum to check the output. But the sound output was still the same. After external inspection of the device, we appreciated that it was due to poor workmanship of the tablet’s body manufacturer. Out of the two speakers’ outlets (the perforations) one was totally blocked while the other was partially blocked. Being blocked in majority, the perforations were not allowing the sound to travel out, that’s what we thought.

I Spoke to the customer care (1800-30-100-104) on 23 Jan 14 and told them about the problem and my appreciation. As advised by the customer care operator, I also wrote a mail to care@xolo.in. 3. I called up the customer care again on 25 Jan 14 as there was no response or any reply to my mail from Xolo care. This time customer care operator advised me to visit the service center to have my Tablet checked by the specialists. I approached the service center only to find more surprises. On my explaining the problem, they agreed to check the tablet. Luckily, there was one more similar tablet available with them. On opening the tablet, we both were surprised to see that there was only one speaker in place of two as claimed and exhibited by XOLO tablet’s guidebook. Other tablet was also opened and checked to find only one speaker, there too. This was the bigger surprise.

The tablet is not replaced yet and for last 20 days he is not even taking my calls. The service center is also not taking any responsibility to resolve the issue. When I spoke to customer care again, they told that I have to co-ordinate with Mr Hariharasubramanian. I again asked them to let me speak to some senior as Mr Hariharasubramanian was not even taking the calls. To my surprise, the senior operator spoke very rudely and conveyed that they cannot do anything about the issue. 5. I have written more than 20 e-mails in total to the XOLO team (LAVA International Ltd) including Mr Hariharasubramanian, Mr Prashant Saini (prashant.saini@lavainternational.in) and care@xolo.in. I have even cautioned them couple of times about my filing the case in Consumer Court. However, that also was totally disregarded by them. Now, XOLO customer care is not responding positively, which they promised earlier. Mr Hariharasubramanian, the area manager is not taking the calls and my e-mails are not being replied by Mr Prashant Saini or care@xolo.in. 6. At this juncture, I have been left with no options by Lava International/ Xolo than taking the case with consumer court.
