Dear Sir, I booked my ticket via yatra.com as follows- Journey from bhubaneswar to melbourne via delhi and Bangkok. The problem I faced was immense at bangkok. 1. I was not told by Yatra.com that I need to have transit visa for connecting flight at bangkok. I was traveling with family and had very little time to catch the connecting flight.I tried my level best to get some thai currency at airport, got my transit visa done to catch another flight. also gave visa fee for family of three. My three year old was crying at bangkok airport for all these hassles. upon reaching bangkok- first There was a walk of 30 minutes to reach baggage counter. then A long queue at visa. All these in 1 hour 30 min. plus we had to report 1 hour before departure after immigration check. Some how we managed 20 minutes before( I realized flight was also delayed further 30 minutes) but the airline( jet srat refused to on board us. I had no clue but to book next flight to melbourne. which costed me dollar 2200(Australian). Jet star team advised me to contact yatra to process the refund, which I did. Yatra raised the refund, but now they are saying I would not get anything as the price of one way fare was low. This is not acceptable. There was absolute gap from Air India ( not providing me boarding pass till Melbourne from Delhi- the booking was done with AirIndia Allianz( partner) and Yatra.com for not letting me know about transit visa and other hassles I have to take care in Thailand. 2. I was not given a boarding pass from delhi to melbourne by airindia. I requested for refund fare and its now turned down
