With reference to my Mobile Number 9811106084, as per my mobile data plan – I can use 1GB of 3G data for a month against rental of 249Rs. On 21st March 2013 my data balance was 134.13 MB, and on checking the same again on 24th March it was 53.52 MB. On seeing this the same day I bought a top up plan of 300 MB so I don’t run out of usage and Vodafone start charging me for extra usage. But when I received my monthly bill for March 2013 – Bill No. 0177397649, Bill Period 03 Mar to 02 Apr 2013. I found that I’m charged with data usage for period 20th March to 23rd March 2013. Which was not at all matching with the data balance message I received from Vodafone for same period. On contacting Vodafone I was informed that the charges are for my extra usage. On asking how extra usage is possible when I had balance in account, there was no answer. Since then I’ve not paid the extra 214 Rs. (without taxes) in my bill. Due to that Vodafone has constantly charged me late payment fee, and above that they have put an notification on my phone, i.e. whenever I make a call I hear a message before the call in English and Hindi then only the call starts dialing. I contacted Vodafone not just once but 7 times during this period but its of no use. Last time I met Store manager in Indirapuram and mailed him the messages (showing balance in account) on his official id. Its been 3 months now that I’m chasing Vodafone and getting no reply from their end. Request you to please help me in sorting this as soon as possible. And release a warning to Vodafone against their faulty billing system. Had I not checked my balance and bill I’d have become a victim of these error/Fraud billing.
Most importantly against the bill delay notification they put before any outgoing call. that caused me lot of mental tension and frustration. I contacted Vodafone 7 times and spent almost an hour every time I visited the store or called the call centre. this caused me losing some important works, mental tension because every time I have to explain the entire episode to the attendant.
Vodafone should compensate at least Rs 10000 against all the mental pain it caused me during these three months.
