I visited the Sri Sabthagiri traders to buy monthly groceries yesterday (03 April 2015). I made a purchase of around Rs 2500. The shopkeeper gave me only a white sheet with the items list scribbled on it. I demanded a proper receipt for which I was told that they have no “practice” of giving receipt. Its just that scribbling. Inspite of my repeated demands he refused to provide a proper receipt. He had also inflated the bill by including branded items which are way too costly than local ones. The rice he gave was also riddent with insects. I had to argue with the people to get the costlier ones replaced by those of my choice. I gave back the infested rice also. For claiming my right as a customer I was harassed and shouted at.

Apart from the substandard goods that they sell and unfair trade practise like forcing costlier branded items upon customers I wonder how much money they must have amassed as black money by evading taxes. I kindly request the authorities to take action against the entity and make them provide me the invoice/receipt in proper form. P S : I have furnished the details of the shop and I have attached herewith the scribbled sheet.
