Rajkamal Travels – Negligence in Service

1. On 18.04.15 I booker two AC sleeper ticket from Rajkamal Travels, Ahmedabad to travel from Anand (Gujarat) to Nagpur (Maharashtra) for journey on 19.04.15 2. The ticket was booked for me, my wife with a baby boy (6 month old) 3. As per telephonic talk, I had to pay the ticket fare Rs. 3220/- on board to conductor. The scheduled time was 4:01 PM on 19.04.15 and boarding point was Express Highway 4. On 19.04.15, I received call from Rajkamal travels that the time is pre-pond and present exactly at 3:15 PM at boarding point (express highway) 5. We reached at boarding point 2:45 PM but the travel (GJ03 BT0768) arrived at 5:00 PM and forced us to wait in hot sun for more than one and half hour with baby. 6. I give Rs. 3520 to driver and asked for balance of Rs. 300 but he told that he do not have change and will give back on latter 7. After starting journey, on 20.04.15, in morning of between 5:30 to 6:00 AM, the travel stopped on highway near Mutki Village, at Puja Restaurant cum Dhaba, almost 20 km ahead of Dhule city, due to mechanical problem in Engine. 8. Driver contacted to travel owner but he did not take any action for attaining the engine problem or providing the alternative travel bus 9. Till 12 noon there was no improvement in the situation, the fellow passenger tied to contact the travel owner but he was not responding to phone call. Somehow three technician from Mohan Agency (Ashok Leyland showroom, Dhule) to check the problem and took the fuel pump to repair. 10. Our small child was continuously crying due to temperature and even refusing for breastfeeding. He was sleepless and continuously crying. So we rented a room in nearby lodge, Kapil Logde thinking baby may be confortable. 11. We waited till 3:00 PM but there was no sign of improvement in the situation. Almost all passengers left the site taking local travels to Jalgaon city, almost 95-100 km the site. 12. Seeing no alternative, we had been forced to take our baby in local Jeep in hot conditions to Jalgaon even he was continuous crying. 13. We reached Jalgaon on 4:30 PM, we booked two ticket for Nagpur from Mahalakshmi Travels. As departure timing was on 9:30 PM we had to book again guest house, Aaram Guest House. 14. We left on almost 10:00 PM from Jalgaon, and reached Nagpur at about 7:00 Am on 21.04.15 15. As we had to reach Nagpur on 11:00 AM, on 20.04.15, due to the negligence in responsibility and pathetic service of Travel Agency, we reached on 21.04.15 16. We suffered physical, mental trauma as well as monetary losses. And more our baby suffered a lot. He suffered with temperature in travelling night of 20.04.15, but fortunately we had the doctors prescribed medicine, we had a little sigh of relief. 17. It was height of negligence when the passengers were angry and asked driver, he told that the said bus was not running since last three months and had a major problem.
