I buy a Laptop from Flipkart vide Order No. OD202620764009200600 on 18-4-2015. a) The product specification was Dell Inspiron 3437 Laptop (4th Gen Ci5/ 4GB/ 500GB/ Win8/ 1 GB Graph). The product was sold with specification pre installed WIN 8 64 bits. I received the product on 22nd April 2015 with Dell product Tag ‘8NP4MW1’. The copy of Invoice of Royal Trading Co. Ghaziabad is attached. b) As per the above Dell service tag the said product is not having pre installed WIN 8, rather it was sold by Dell with pre installed ‘Ubuntu Linux 12.04 SP1’. We have found that Win 8.1 is installed on the Laptop which is displaying message ‘your window is not activated’. When we tried to activate it, the error was displayed that this is not a genuine product. It clearly indicates that pirated version of Win8.1 has been installed subsequently by seller. The relevant specifications of the product as per Dell is attached which clearly indicates that the product was sold by Dell with ‘Ubuntu Linux 12.04 SP1’ and not with Win 8.1. The product is not having sticker for original WIN 8.1, which is mandatory when product is sold with pre-installed Window. Please note that selling product with pirated software is a cyber crime. c) The product was sold by Flipkart on 18-4-2015 mentioning Warranty “1 Year Accidental Damages Service with Premium Phone Support”. As per the above Dell service tag this product was shipped to India by Dell on 11/09/2013 and Warranty already expired on 13-12-2014. The current Warranty status is attached. As such the product was sold by Flipkart with expired warranty. d) The product is not having pre-installed drivers for using various function keys. e) Based on above a request for return was registered with Flipkart on 22 April 2015 and the problems were also explained to Flipkart team on 24-04-2015 on Telephone call received. However, the return claim has been rejected by Flipkart on 02-05-2015 without stating any reasons. The screen shot of Flipkart order status is attached. f) From the above facts it can be concluded that this is a DUPLICATE product.
