On Feb17th, 2014, I bought a pair of Shoes detailing Art. No. GB 0707109W13 CAMEL 40 FOOTWEAR (LEATHER)) at M/s Aero Club, Woodland Store, G.B. Center Hill Cart Road, Sewak Road, Siliguri (Tel.: 03532535453) . This one was the eighth pair in a row, which I and my friends have purchased from Woodland’s outlet in Siliguri since 2012. But this time it was just a matter of four days that I started realizing my shoes had developed wrinkles on back side at both heel counters and heel collars. To make it even worse, pattern and measure of these wrinkles on both shoes are also far from being similar, which clearly suggest that the changes were not normal. After noticing the anomaly I immediately stopped using the footwear to prevent further deterioration and informed the staff of this on 10/03/2014 while leaving the shoes at the outlet with hope of getting the defect rectified. This delay in complaining is to be attributed to my hectic office schedule and 55.3 Km (to an fro) commutation from my dwelling to the showroom. It is pertinent to tell here that I am an Executive Officer whose wok confines to his desk and my office is hardly 200 meter from my room. I also assert that the problem I am facing does not involve any negligence from my side. The bill claims the above said shoes are worth Rs.3995, for which I paid Rs.2795 after the discount I was offered. I don’t see any reason then why within 4 days it degraded. I meant no offence but any man of sound logic can tell that only substandard making of the shoes would give such below than mediocre performance. I am appalled at the quality and wonder how you could allow such a product to hit shelves at all. I didn’t accept the shoes in its present status todate and has been told that twice they have been sent to Delhi for knowing expert opinion which I get to know is against any settlement other than foisting the shoes back on me.
I googled and saw umpteen similar cases and could guess that myriad people had been grousing for the redressal of their grievance while Company seemed unfazed by people’s sentiments and indignation. I accept the challenge head on and ready to give whatever it takes to ensure that my story does not meet the same fate as of others and reaches its just end . While I will not hesitate to approach consumer centric programs in news channels to resister my displeasure and grudge, making an online community on Facebook and Tweeter against the Company’s arbitrariness are some of the steps I am contemplating. Now the onus lies squarely on you to settle the issue before it inflates and bring bad name to your company. It is incumbent upon you to resolve the problem and I would appreciate any of resources among money back, store credit, exchange or replacement. I look forward to your reply and will wait until 20 working days from the date of this letter before resorting to Consumer Court and other Consumer Right Protection Groups.
I demand Money back, store credit exchange or replacement.
