This incident took place on Sunday 08/01/2017. Details mentioned below. I am a non West Bangal Aadhar Card person, trying to get the Jio Sim.
Scenario 1) After couple of equerries I came to know that non West Bangal Aadhar Card person has to furnish all documents and EKYC will not workout for them basis Govt Rule passed on 30 Nov 2016. I am not sure about this rule because after asking for reference document control number Govt Instruction customer care associate, TL, AM and Manager was not having appropriate answers which shows the level of Knowledge impart happened to them. I would say to AM and Manager at CSR desk :- Learn how to say No politely instead of showing attitude to customer.
Scenario 2) Reached to Axis Mall at Reliance Jio office, Security Guard at the place of customer care was unable to understand Hindi and some how by direction rerouted me to two sales persons dedicated for out of station AAdhar Card. Shown my Aadhar Card to them and requested them for Jio SIM. Sales Person with great attitude the first sentence from Gutkha Eaten Mouth was:- “Hobe Naa” (It will not happen). Requested for reason and after 30 min standing and asking again and again, sales person re-looked at my Aadhar Card and said Picture appeared on my Aadhar Card is not Clear and “Eye Balls” must be visible. I tried asking for any other work around because it was the first incident when my Aadhar Card got Rejected that too by a public company. I asked him again that pic is not pasted by me, pic is taken by Govt appointed regulatory body and he does not have any point to declining it. When I asked him to give me in writing for denial of JIO Sim he referred me back to office. I went back to office spoke with one Hindi Speaking Security Person. He acted as Customer Care Representative and came along with me to speak with sales person. Security person requested sales person to take the case sales person re-looked my Aadhar Card (Just Like trying to find out more error) and said, it will take 2 Hrs because of 3 people were in the process. My reaction was 2 Hrs to fill up the form great. Then sales person again asked me to get the photo copy of the Aadhar card and a Colour Photo. I was not carrying the Xerox of AAdhar Card so I requested them to get me the copy as I am an out station person and it is very hard for me to locate the photo copier shop. It was a Big NO. His face turned like I requested for any of his organ to support. I dropped the plan and thought that will come back in the evening. This all took around 2 hours.
Scenario 3) Reached Axis Mall again with photocopy of my Aadhar, colour photo and sales person rejected my photo stating the Photo must be white in Back. It was shocking. I said I am not applying for Visa. Other sales person looked at me with full of anger. This time both of sales person were full in fight mode when I said who has made up this rule and requested them to be present right on the counter. One Jio Manager came out from office looked at me, spoke to them had some communication in Bangla (Against of Manner) and said you fill up the form but in case of form rejection Sales person will not be responsible. I said fine any which ways sales person can never be responsible. Sales Person handed over the form to me with instruction of no cut and over writing on the form. I started filling up form and shown to them. He Looked at the form like School principle checking answer sheets circled 3 places of over right and cut. I said it is my writing way and they are not the cut or over written. Sales Person’s only Ans :- NO. Gave me 2nd form, 3rd Form all were same and could not satisfy the ego of Sales Person. Every time the No size increased. I looked around and saw 15 people filling up form from all over the India and all were facing same problem. I spoke to all of them and reaction of everyone was same. I collected all three forms and started moving out so Sales person did not allow me to carry any of the forms along with me I said my personal information is mentioned on the form and I will allow you lay down all the information like other forms. So the ANS was non clear to me. They said they have machine and they will do it later. I again said these are my written forms let me take it. This time sale person’s Ego reached on top. He started with high tune volume. Did I not understand and etc. I mentioned not to show me your attitude and call to your manager again. Manager was called up again and shown him all four forms he agreed that those were not cut and over written. He asked sales person to fill up the form and this time one of them spend almost 2 hrs to fill up the form. By the time he completed the form he slowly mentioned to his fellow friend, I will also see how the number will get it activated. I did not pay attention and was about to sign the form by time sales person told me that the number will be activated in 10 – 15 working days which is close to a month. I asked for the reason which was again full of story. Documents will be verified and physical verification will also happened because of TRAI rules and to avoid any miss use. I tore all forms in front of them and said thanks for your efforts and I do not want JIO SIM Card. I will register the complain.
I would have not written this long email to you but after that day I revisited Axis Mall on Jan 15th and those sales person were standing at the same location looked at me and passed a comment that ” Jo Karna hai Karlo. Yahan wahi hoga jo ham kahenge”. I think it should be the JIo’s punch line. Now it is on you and your team to decide on what action do you want to take.
I am forwarding the same email to all concerned departments of tele communications. I still remember names to those sales persons but not mentioned in the email because I do not think they have done this only with me. It is in to their daily routine and someone else is supporting them to act like this.
