sir, I am Dr.B.Anukumar, working as a Incharge in National Institute of Virology Kerala unit (Indian council of Medical Research, Dept. of Health Research, Ministry of health and Family welfare). My head office is located at Pune. I often visit NIV, Pune for various purposes like meetings, lectures, committees etc. Every time i should take flight to mumbai and then mumbai to pune by road. This consumes more of my valuable time and cost. There is no direct flight in AirIndia from kochi to Pune. There are two private airlines viz spice jet and indigo operating direct flights from Kochi to pune and the cost of tickets is almost three to five times lesser than AirIndia and flying time is less than 2 hours.
