Airtel Digital TV – Money Not Refunded

I had placed a request for cancellation of my Airtel Digital TV subscription (id: 3000061954) on 3-Jun-2014 (service request no: 38001666). Couple of days later a technician came and disconnected the service. He also collected all equipments (Setup box + remote, dish, cable (18 meters)). He did not give me any receipt and told me they will track it via the service request number. On the same day, I received a call from customer care to confirm if the service was cancelled and all equipments were recovered. After I confirmed the same they closed the request and told me the refund will be processed within 2 weeks. It’s been more than 8 months since then and I have not received my refund amount. I have been following up with them on numerous occasions, but in vain. Now, they are insisting that I show them the recovery receipts to process the refund, which I never received. This is clear case of cheating. When I demanded that they tell me the status of the service request, they are saying the request does not exist in their system. I have all email communication with the customer care, which clearly mentions the request no.

Refund amount has not been given. I have been following up for more than 8 months and it’s very torturing. They don’t respond on time via email and don’t talk clearly on phone when I demand clarity. It’s affecting me a lot mentally.

My refund amount: Rs. 550 Additional relief for mental torture: 2000 More importantly, I want to teach them a lesson so that they don’t repeat this with anyone else.
