Airtel – International roaming activation delay

Dear Sir, The undersigned has the following grievance against Airtel and neither the nodal or the appellate authority are resolving the issue. 1. The undersigned took an airtel post paid connection during November 2014 number 9937125011. When I went abroad in April 2015 the SIM did not worked and the customer care informed that the SIM is not IMSI provisioned so you will not be able access international roaming. When I asked why this was not informed at the beginning while purchase of SIM from Bharati Airtel Limited, ASIATIC Agencies, Airtel Relationship Center, 14, Janpath, Bapujinagar, Bhubaneswar – 751009, the only standard reply I get is “we apologize for the inconvenience”. Due to this I lost 28 days of connectivity. 2. In June I tried to surrender the postpaid connection and convert it to prepaid. On conversion I can charged Rs.30.00 without bill towards new SIM cost while the MRP printed on it was Rs.6.00 on further query no satisfactory reply was given. 3. I had withdrawn the post paid connection on 16.06.2015 and the SIM was changed to prepaid and the customer executive told it will take 4 days for changeover. also it was informed that Prepaid SIM card are not available with dual imsi provisioned. It only works on post paid. While there is no such information on website of airtel. Still then I took prepaid connection so that after wards i can change to some other network. 4. On 18.06.2015 the post paid SIM went inactive and I connected the prepaid SIM and tried to activate the SIM by dialing 59059. The executive verified all the details and informed that the SIM is active. after that when tried for any call it responded that the SIM prepaid validity has expired. 5. The SIM card has been recharged with Rs300.00, I am receiving incoming calls SMS but no out going calls even after 24 Hrs. When I tried to speak to customer executive also it replies the SIM is not active. When I tried to speak to another mobile and spoke to customer executive the reply came that the SIM is not active and visit the relationship center again with your documents. This is highly harassing to customers and loss to customer. On argument with one of the executive at Bharati Airtel Limited, ASIATIC Agencies, Airtel Relationship Center, he quoted ” I have the right to verify a customer while customer do not have, there are lot more service providers you can choose if you want”. This is highly unprofessional and harassment. Therefore I urge to initiate necessary action against airtel.

1. Lost connectivity for 28 days due to international Roaming during April 2015 2. Lost connectivity on 19.06.2015 3. Visited customer relation center 3 times on 16.06.2015 two times and 0n 18.06.2015 4. Again being asked on 19.06.2015 to visit customer center again
