3 Weeks ago, Airtel tower of our area stopped working. Because of which; though our area is coming in Delhi/NCR (i.e. non-roaming area for our numbers) but still Airtel is charging roaming charges on all our calls. I have around 7 mobile connections, all are from Airtel and on all numbers we are facing this issue. I called 121 and 198 to register my complaint; but nobody gave me any complaint number; they just say we will call you back and after that nothing happens. Then I wrote email to 121@in.airtel.com (Customer care), nodalofficer.del@in.airtel.com (Nodel office for delhi) and appellate.del@in.airtel.com ; but till now I haven’t got any satisfactory solution. At first they raised below request and promised to complete by 11-June-2013 (But nothing Happened). For your reference, the Unique Service Request number is CINDL3060603747700. Our team will be contacting you by 11 June 2013, 07:21 PM Then again I raised the complaint and they sent the below response : For your reference, the Unique Service Request number is CINDL3061407871600. Our team will be contacting you by 19 June 2013, 02:03 PM and with an update on the same Every time I complain they just say that they will fix it and they give new date as deadline.
But problem still exists. Till now We (me and my family) has paid much money as roaming charges and as the problem still exists; we are still paying roaming charges. It is causing financial loss to us because of the ignorance of Airtel to resolve the issue. I requested Airtel not to charge roaming charges till the complaint resolved but they didn’t listen. (Note : Some times customer care executive says that you are in roaming area, but the truth is; I have 7 numbers in my home and we using the same numbers from last 5 years e.g. 9871726410, 9958732209, 9971726410, 9818877320 etc. If from the last 5 years this area was not in roaming the howcome all of a sudden it has come to roaming. ) Through this complaint I am expecting that the problem will resolve soon and Airtel will compensate for the financial loss we are facing due to roaming charges on all our numbers.
