I am using airtel prepaid sim from 15 years bearing No. 98456454XX till date. A month ago some airtel agency called me and informed me that I am entitled to convert my prepaid connection to post paid by paying Rs. 500/- as initial deposit and the plan will be Rs. 275/- per month. I opted for it as they gave me a sim card and they had brought application with them. I filled the said application and got the sim card from them by giving all my proofs. The lady speaking to me was Ms. Suma. Immediately after two days one person came and verified my address and I also received a message from airtel saying that pre paid to post paid conversion will happen in a short while. But to my utter shock and surprise it did not happen and the lady who used to call me also stopped picking my call. We gave a complaint to airtel and after a month suddenly one lady named Uma called me and told that similar complaints as of mine were received by them from 90 customers and hence they have decided to give new sim card and convert the sim from pre paid to post paid and collected proofs again and address was verified again and on Sunday ie., 11th August I have received a message saying that post paid connection has been activated and my prepaid sim was barred. To my utter shock and surprise my prepaid sim is barred and post paid sim is not activated till now.
It is almost one and a half day since I have used my phone because of airtel’s mistake. We are continuously calling airtel customer care but after listening to our voice they are disconnecting our call. The person with whom we contacted in customer care is Ms. Fathima. I am a lawyer and from past 24 hours I might have got lot of calls which I am unable to attend because of the mistake of airtel and hence I need my connection immediately and also I need to get damages for the loss incurred by me from 24 hours. Please do the required as it is emergent.
