Inspite of my complaint they have not taken any action and I am getting these SMS till today. What action I need to take now?

Thank you for writing to airtel and providing us the opportunity to assist you.

We would like to inform you that as per our records your airtel mobile number was registered with National Customer Preference Register (NCPR) on 29/08/2011, and as per Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) guidelines, all promotional communication to your airtel number 9940527499 should have stopped within 7 days from the date of registration i.e. by 05/09/2011.

However, your email suggests that the promotional communication is still being received by you. While we understand the inconvenience faced by you by continuing to receive such unsolicited communication, we do assure you that airtel whole-heartedly supports the TRAI’s NDNC initiative and has taken significant measures to address/curb this menace. We at airtel are addressing the controllable issues aggressively, however, there are some dependencies external to our control.

We regret the inconvenience and request you to report such unsolicited SMSs/calls by logging complaints with us within 7 days of receiving such unsolicited commercial communications with the following details:

Date of receipt of promotional SMS/Call
Time of receipt of promotional SMS/Call
Brief Description of the promotion
Telemarketer¿s SMS Sender ID / 10-digit phone number

You may log your complaint through any of the following ways as per you convenience:

Send an email to 121@in.airtel.com with the complaint details listed above

Call us at 198 (tollfree, for registering complaints) or 121, our 24-hour Customer Care helpline from your airtel mobile.
