I was given a bill of Rs 2133 for the month of July 14. When I went through the details I found out that there were many discrepancies which I shall list as below ; 1. I was charged excessively for internet usage though I had a 1gb free 3G data offer capped with my handset which was valid till 18 July 14. On 18 July itself I activated the 2gb 2G data plan on my number whose monthl rental is Rs 199. My overall usage for the month was less than 1gb still I was charged heftily. 2. While purchasing the connection I had asked for a plan with free incoming calls while on roaming and I was told that the same plan will cost me Rs 99 per month. When my bill was generated I had been charged Rs. 899 for receiving calls while on roaming. On querying with the Customer Care I was informed that the plan given to me was “Flat Roaming Plan” which was also charged at Rs 99 per month. 3. Later on after making several calls to the Customer Care and sending many mails to 121@in.airtel.com I was given 02 waivers on internet usage and my bill was reduced to Rs 857 which is still about Rs 450 more than what it should have been. 4. The reply from121@in.airtel.com said that I had been charged the excess amount for receiving calls on roaming. Further I made contact with the Airtel Shop from where I had bought the connection and I was told that the excessive charge was for making outgoing calls while on roaming to which I justified that my bill showed that my outgoing calls were for only Rs 67. The Shop Representative agreed with the justifications and then asked me to contact the Appellate Authority. 4. On sending some mails to the Appellate Authority I was now told that the excessive charges were on account on excessive internet usage.Despite sending several mails to them explaining that the charges were not genuine I was not to be heard and finally my services were discontinued. 5. I would further like to inform that I have already paid Rs 800 as approximate bill(as per my own calculations) for the month of July and August 14 whereas the bill for the month of September is still due.
I want my services to be resumed at the earliest with adjustment of my improper bill and at the same time I also want extra usage of data which I could not use in the month of September.
