I have ported from BSNL to Airtel postpaid (9413933680) using mobile number portability facility (MNP).
My number was converted to Airtel postpaid on 19 Sept, 2012 and since then I am facing the problems.
My phone worked for a few days and on 22, Sept my outgoing calls are barred. I contacted on Customer Care and was told that the address verification had failed and therefore services had been stopped. I asked the reason for failed address verification but was told that system is only showing failed status.
I fail to understand the reason behind this i reached Airtel customer office ( Swagat Communication, Jodhpur ) from where i purchased the postpaid sim and submit ID proof , photo. They told me that your address verification is negative; instead no one came from airtel for address verification in my home. Then they sad ok i will resume your outgoing calls & they do it and also sad airtel boy will come to your home for address verification. i also booked online complaint for this whose no is PR092400099 which was not yet resolved..
Again after two days they stopped my outgoing calls then again i reached airtel office and sad about this then airtel boy said that the system will automatically stopped your outgoing call and then they rectify this and my outgoing calls starts working.
But again after 2 days this time outgoing as well as my incoming call was barred(mobile shows sim rejected) after this I went to the airtel office several times but they were not at all supportive and neither their customer care helpline DID anything about it. Sometimes they said your address is wrong or sometimes they said your address is out of our service area. I gives some examples of airtel postpaid users which far away (5-6km) from my home address then they said we can’t help you.
I said if my home address is out of your service area then you will told me when i purchased the sim and submit the document then they said sorry sir
My cell number is in wide circulation with my clients, colleagues and friends and any change in number will have adverse professional consequences for me.
Please look into the matter urgently
My connection has not been restored despite repeated attempts with Airtel customer care department.
