Airtel Pre-Paid – Unethical Business Practices – NO Customer Care

This is Arup Pattnaik writing from Bhubaneswar, Orissa. I’ve been associated with Airtel Mobile since 2007. Faced many problems but resolved. But I am deeply anguished with today’s experience. Day before yesterday I have recharged with Rs 63/- to get special tariff i.e 1.2p/sec.I had checked with the plan which was changed to 1.2p/sec. Today after a 16.42 sec call at 20.28 hrs I noticed that you have charged me RS 15.03p. I called at 198 at 20.47 hrs and spoken to one Mr Danish. I dont know if he has told me his real name. He listened to me and told me that this kind of problems occur sometime and I have to wait till 31st to get the problem resolved. When I asked for a complain number he refused saying I will get a msg with the complain number the moment I end the call. But still I haven’t received any. I know I will receive the msg before 1 or 2 hours of resolution so that their KPI will be secured.

I don’t understand why a company like Airtel involved in such unethical business practices, and that to with a loyal and very old customer. Is this the way how you generate revenue. If I have not made the long call I could never have noticed such thing. Your customer service has gone for a toss. Now tell me why should I stay with your network where other operators are offering batter call cost and customer service. And of course no one will do such thing with an old customer. I have already initiated for portability. I wont be surprised if you will not revert. This mail was just to intimate you why you are losing shares in Orissa.
