Airtel Prepaid to Postpaid Conversion

Hi, I’d like to draw your attention to the highly unresponsive attitude of Airtel towards a simple act of conversion of the prepaid number 9997592399 to post paid. After having submitted the documents on 11th of August 2013 , my address verification happened on 13th of April 2013 . I got the following SMSes “Address verification for prepaid to postpaid conversion of your airtel mobile has been completed.The conversion will start shortly” (13th August 2013) “The prepaid to postpaid conversion has started and it will take max 4 hrs. Kindly insert the new postpaid SIM in your handset and enjoy the services.” (13th August 2013) However, the postpaid SIM has not got activated. Meanwhile the prepaid SIM has got disconnected. So my number has been without a SIM for more than 24 hrs and I am not able to use it. I have missed many important calls because of this. The customer care of Airtel is pathetic and the representatives are unable to answer my questions and have provided wrong information. Each time I call, the representative has given me different answers. Also , the executive who came to collect my documents and security cash is being unresponsive. Hoping to get some help.
