HI Respected Sir\madam, This mail is regarding a Public Stunt\Gimmicks done by one of the top eCommerce website of india(WWW.AMAZON.IN). on great online shopping festival sale the so called amazon.in had sold a product for very less price and after the 3hr of sale they have cancelled the deals stating a irresponsible like “price error”. let me explain you why i think that is not a price error and its why its a pure cheap marketing gimmicks. i do agree for a price error if product was in normal listing(since there will be more than 10L items).but here it was not the case.hardly there will be only 15 product max at a given time as it was a lightening deal in there home page.even then if its a error then it has to be solely bared by amazon as its a serious bundle from there end. this drove lots of traffic and a publicity to amazon. then the have cancelled the order in the back stage and sent out a mail to all the buyers who had brought the product. considering an example let say 2L people had seen the ad of Amazon and out of which only 1000 people would have got the chance to buy the product after which amazon had cancels the product and sent out a mail to 1000 people who had brought the product.now the rest 199000 people still believe that product was sold at a price of 190. this is a pure marketing strategy. so my fight is for “either AMAZON should give the product(laptop) for 190 (as stated in deal) or they had to display apology message in there home screen(just as the advertised this deal as they didn’t provided what they had promised)”. and I need the support from your end so that no other eccomerce websites use the same tactics. please let me know how can i go about this and fight it out legally. this should be a leason to all eCommerce websites doing this gymmicks amazon should be banned for 1 week for this offence.anso it has to display a apology msg in there website similar to the adverstment of the deal.
