I purchased a water purifier from Amazon.in on October 17 2014. It then qualified for a diwali promotion of Rs. 3000 in the form of a gift card (email transcript available). I then reached out to their customer service representatives for the same which the customer service representatives promised would be delivered (email transcript available) but never got back to me. I then was informed that the purchase did not qualify as it was merely a ‘suggestion’that they might provide a card (email transcript available) and I would not receive the gift card nor would I qualify for any additional insight (I had asked for the terms and conditions). Besides the conversations that I have provided transcripts for , there were additional conversations confirming the gift card which I did not store the transcripts for.

I now own a product that is substantially more expensive than I expected it to be. I have wasted hours in emails/phones/consumer forums.
