I including other residents of Eldeco Utopia paid to the builder (EIPL) Rs10000/- per KVA towards power back-up including Rs 20,000/- for external electrification charges. My apartment’s power back-up is 6KVA and I paid Rs60,000/- towards the cost. Similar amounts were paid by other residents EIPL has been charging me and others Rs50/KVA towards Fixed Charges for power back up on a monthly basis. This is in addition to the power cost on the basis of monthly consumption. However, since the entire back-up power generators cost has been financed by the residents, no Fixed Charges should be recovered from the residents including me.

I want EIPL to stop charging Rs60/- per KVA as Fixed Charges towards back-up power and return the entire amount of Rs16,200/ immediately to me with interest. I have written to EIPL on two occasions but they have not replied.
