Hi, I had a personal loan with Barclays Bank (LC013511006366128), which I had foreclosed on 12 Oct 2012, as per loan agreement. At the time of availing loan I have issued some checks as guarantee. It’s now been 3 months, I have still not received either security checks nor the NOC from bank. I had repeatedly called the customer care on this, but each time they are giving me incorrect information like it takes 2 months for me to receive it, after completion of 2 months I lodged a complaint no: (B20121207000234), but then two weaks later when i called them, they said it was dispatched and gave me a tracking no. After consulting the courier company they said its long been returned back to bank, because of incorrect address mentioned by the bank. When I called the bank again they again told me that will dispatch in 10 working days. Every time I call them, for any simple thing they say 10 working days but they do nothing. Even if I complain the same, even for that they say, they need 10 working days, but does nothing. I am tired of calling them and I am now doubtful wether they had closed the loan or not, inspite of taking the loan amount from me. I am tired of their negligence in returning back my security checks and NOC. They are miles behind on their due diligence. Barclays as a bank in India, has nothing been other than a legalised fraud institution. If the same non-compliance, had ever been exhibited by an Indian bank, on a foreign soil, they could have been fined for millions. Hope India shows as a land with laws, rather than a banana republic. I just need them to send back, my security checks and NOC to my correct address, as long been updated in their records. Hope they be taught a lesson on compliance and respect to the laws of the land.
